IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING THE SMART WATER SW800 12 VDC WIRELESS PUMP CONTROLLER
Please note that this 12 VDC Pump Controller is designed for new Zealand/Australia power. This means that you will need to modify the electrical circuit to meet US Electrical Code. We recommend the addition of a Contractor (for example see SquareD link) and a Thermal Overload Relay if the pump motor is not thermally protected (for example see LRD12 and LRD14 links). Click the link for the recommended circuit schematic for a typical 115 VAC single phase system, or see it below.
We strongly recommend that a licensed electrician install or approve the circuit as well.
To determine the correct Contractor and/or Relay needed, you would need to first determine the:
-Voltage of the pump – 115VAC or 230 VAC
-Phase – 3-phase or single phase
-HP or Amp rating of the motor
-Whether or not the pump motor is thermally protected (in which case a thermal relay would not be necessary if it is)
If you have questions about what you will need please CONTACT US and we will be glad to assist.
